The collision involved an unmarked police car and another vehicle on the A20 near Kidbrooke Park Road in Eltham. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade, and London’s Air Ambulance, responded to the scene of the accident.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the 38-year-old pregnant woman, who was in the other car, and her unborn baby, tragically lost their lives due to the injuries sustained in the crash. Detective Chief Superintendent Trevor Lawry, responsible for policing in Greenwich, expressed his condolences to the woman’s family and friends affected by this heartbreaking event.
