A luxurious mobile home designed to connect with Elon Musk’s Cybertruck is set to revolutionize road trips for adventurers and outdoor enthusiasts. The CyberTrailer, created by Living Vehicle of Santa Barbara, offers off-grid living for up to five people in a sleek and versatile design.
This £135k ($175k) RV-style trailer can be transformed into six different configurations to accommodate various lifestyles and needs. From a private bedroom and bunk room to a space for relaxing with recliners and a theatre system, the CyberTrailer caters to a range of preferences. For outdoor enthusiasts, it can even be converted into a toy-hauler garage for storing electric bikes and adventure gear.
Equipped with a five-person dining area and a two-person mobile office with Starlink internet, the CyberTrailer ensures seamless remote work capabilities while on the road. The trailer features a folding patio and full solar awning at the rear, providing shade and energy for off-grid living. The patio doubles as a ramp for easy loading and unloading of gear like bikes, surfboards, and kayaks.
Powering the CyberTrailer is a solar panel roof and self-adjusting awnings that can generate up to 5,000 watts of solar power and store 10 kilowatt-hours in its battery. This energy can not only power the trailer but also charge the towing vehicle and electric toys like e-bikes and surfboards. With a sturdy build weighing 5,000 pounds and a maximum load capacity of 9,000 pounds, the CyberTrailer is a reliable companion for any adventure.
The innovative water generation system in the CyberTrailer can extract up to 9 gallons (34 litres) of water from the air daily, ensuring extended autonomy during camping trips. Combined with advanced water recycling and smart consumption features, this system maximizes self-sufficiency for off-grid living. The trailer’s aerodynamic design with a low drag coefficient of 0.39 at 55 mph enhances energy efficiency when towing with an electric vehicle or traditional trucks.
The interior of the CyberTrailer is designed to be as impressive as its exterior, featuring a versatile 6-in-1 central area that can be configured to suit individual needs. Equipped with pre-installed Starlink Internet, remote work is made possible from anywhere, allowing users to stay connected while on the go.
The CyberTrailer is priced at £135k ($175k) and is expected to go into production in 2025. While designed for the Cybertruck, it is compatible with other trucks like the Rivian R1T and traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. As Living Vehicle CEO Matthew Hofmann put it, the CyberTrailer isn’t just about going off-grid; it’s about embarking on limitless adventures with all the gear and equipment that define your journey.
