In July 2024, he was hospitalized due to Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare autoimmune condition. The Dodgers team showed their support by wearing “#MaxStrong” shirts during MLB All-Star Week.
Chelsea recently shared a positive update on Maximus’s recovery, noting that he has started walking again with the help of physiotherapy. The family has witnessed his strength and resilience throughout this challenging time, bringing them even closer together.
