West Ham United is rumored to be interested in signing Italian winger Federico Chiesa, according to agent David Lavelle. Lavelle claims that Juventus director Cristiano Giuntellon has indicated that the Hammers are keen on acquiring Chiesa and could outbid rivals Tottenham for his services.
Chiesa is considered a top-quality player, but with West Ham already boasting a strong attacking lineup that includes Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen, and Mohammed Kudus, some may question the need for another winger. The club has recently made significant signings to bolster their squad, so splurging on yet another attacking player might not be the wisest decision.
While Chiesa would undoubtedly add talent to the team, the focus should perhaps be on strengthening other areas such as right-back and center-back. This raises the question of whether spending a hefty sum on a winger is the best course of action for West Ham at this point in time.
