A tragic car collision in Cornwall has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old individual and injuries to six others. The incident occurred when two black Seat Ibizas collided at a set of crossroads near the B3266 between St Trudy and St Breward around 11:15 pm on Friday.

The young man who lost his life was a front-seat passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene. The six individuals who sustained minor injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment, according to Devon and Cornwall police. An 18-year-old male from Bodmin has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by careless driving while unfit through drink or drugs. He has been released on bail as investigations continue.

In addition to the police and ambulance services, fire crews were also present at the scene of the collision. The road where the accident took place, a typically busy route, remained closed for 16 hours while authorities conducted their investigations. Law enforcement officials are urging any witnesses to come forward if they saw the accident or have dashcam footage that could assist in the investigation.
