Police are still searching for Victoria Taylor, a nurse and mother-of-one who disappeared five days ago. She was last seen at her home address in Malton, North Yorkshire, at 9 am on Monday. Later that same day, she was captured on CCTV at a BP garage on Welham Road in the Norton area of Malton.
Some of her belongings were found near the River Derwent, causing distress to her sisters who have described their emotions as “sick, distraught, and lost” after her disappearance. They expressed gratitude to emergency services, volunteers, and the local community for their support during this difficult time.
Search efforts by North Yorkshire Police are ongoing this weekend, with extensive searches conducted by officers, drones, and divers. The siblings of Ms. Taylor have advised volunteers not to endanger themselves during the search, especially near the challenging water conditions due to recent weather.
New images of Ms. Taylor with her brother Joe have been released by the police, along with a description of her appearance and attire at the time of her disappearance. The community has come together to put up posters, search riverbanks, and offer assistance in finding Victoria.
A close friend of Ms. Taylor, Charlotte Cundill, described her as a caring nurse, mother, and girlfriend, urging her to come home as her family needs her. Ms. Cundill has initiated a Facebook page to gather information and support from the community in locating Victoria.
Inspector Martin Dennison expressed concerns about Victoria’s safety and urged anyone with information to contact the police. He emphasized the need for caution near the riverbanks and encouraged reporting any sightings promptly to aid in the search efforts. The focus remains on finding Victoria Taylor and ensuring her safe return home to her family and loved ones.
